MilTech Recruitment Agency

First CV in5 days
We are a MilTech recruitment agency. We place embedded, C4ISR, autonomy and secure-communications engineers with defence technology companies, primes and dual-use startups across the UK and the EU. Tell us which programme you are staffing.
Why MilTech hiring is different
In most sectors you screen for skill and check the paperwork afterwards. Defence inverts that. Clearance status, nationality and export-control eligibility decide who may legally touch a codebase before anyone judges whether they are any good, so the addressable pool is fixed before the search even starts.
That single constraint reshapes the rest. Cleared engineers with real programme experience are a small population, vetting can run for months, and any plan that ignores it slips. Above that sit assurance regimes most commercial engineers have never worked under, from DO-178C in airborne software to formal security accreditation, plus procurement cycles that reward traceability and evidence rather than shipping quickly.
📝 Have a role open? Send us the brief, including the clearance and eligibility constraints, and we will come back with a market view and a shortlist plan.

Where MilTech talent sits
We recruit across the UK, the EU and Ukraine, from offices in London, Tallinn and Lviv. One caveat we would rather state plainly: clearance and export-control rules commonly restrict classified programmes to nationals of the contracting country, so for that work we search the domestic market. Cross-border sourcing applies to unclassified, dual-use and commercial-adjacent engineering.
Ukraine now holds unusually deep practical experience in uncrewed systems, electronic warfare and battlefield software, built under conditions no other market has faced. Where a role is unclassified or dual-use, that experience is reachable. Our Lviv and Kyiv market reviews cover salary levels and availability.
EchoGlobal OU is ISO 27001:2022 certified, which carries more weight here than anywhere else on this site: programme names, client identities and candidate details routinely have to stay confidential throughout a search.

MilTech recruitment: common questions
Embedded Software Engineer for defence platforms (RTOS, bare metal), C4ISR and battle-management Systems Engineer, Software-Defined Radio and tactical communications Engineer, Electronic warfare and signal processing Engineer, Autonomy and Robotics Engineer (UAV, UGV, USV), Computer vision and sensor-fusion Engineer for ISR, and leadership hires up to CTO.
Both. Prototype and surge phases often suit augmentation or a dedicated team, while cleared and safety-critical roles are usually permanent. All four models are available, subject to the eligibility rules a given role carries.

Against the specific layer you are hiring into rather than generic seniority, and against eligibility at the same time. That means real-time embedded work, autonomy and perception, RF and signal processing, or mission and geospatial software, alongside clearance status and export-control position where the role requires it. Each shortlisted candidate comes with written reasoning.
Yes. We run Chief Engineer, Head of Engineering and CTO searches for defence technology businesses, including first technical leaders at dual-use startups.
