Anders Hejlsberg

Daniel Stenberg

Daniel is a Swedish open-source developer best known as the founder and lead developer of cURL and libcurl – the ubiquitous command-line tool and library for transferring data with URLs.
Since the 1990s, Stenberg has made over 250 releases of cURL, which today is a critical component in software from automobiles to space missions (it even helped the Mars helicopter transmit data). Lars Bak

Lars is a Danish software engineer with an extraordinary legacy in high-performance virtual machines.
He was a key developer of Sun’s HotSpot JVM in the 1990s and later, at Google, the lead developer of the V8 JavaScript engine for Chrome – which turbocharged web app performance and enabled Node.js. Tatu Ylönen
Nationality: Finland
Tatu is the Finnish software engineer who invented the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol in 1995.
SSH replaced insecure telnet/FTP with an encrypted channel and has since become a cornerstone of secure logins and data transfer on the internet. Ylönen founded SSH Communications Security to further develop the protocol and related products. Today, SSH is installed on millions of servers and devices worldwide. Ylönen continues to champion cybersecurity and has over 30 patents in areas of network encryption and authentication.

Hakon Wium Lie
Nationality: Norway
Håkon is the Norwegian web pioneer who invented Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in 1994 while at CERN, working with Tim Berners.

David Helgason
Nationality: Iceland
David is an Icelandic software developer and entrepreneur best known as co-founder of Unity Technologies, the company behind the Unity game engine.
